Objective Zero: Connecting Military Service Members and Veterans for Peer Support
Objective Zero is a free iPhone app developed by OBJECTIVE ZERO FOUNDATION. It is designed to connect US military service members and Veterans to a nationwide peer support network through secure voice, video, and text communication. The app also provides access to mental health, wellness, and Veteran-related resources.
By registering as a user, individuals can connect with the Objective Zero Pathfinder network. They can also serve as Pathfinders to receive voice calls, video calls, and texts from Veterans seeking support. All Pathfinders receive basic suicide prevention training and have access to advanced training.
It is important to note that Objective Zero is not a suicide crisis line and should never be used by someone who is in crisis. If anyone is experiencing thoughts of self-harm or harm to others, they should immediately call 911 or go to their local emergency room.
The content within the Objective Zero app, including text, graphics, images, and information obtained from Objective Zero Pathfinders or peer supporters, is for informational purposes only. It is not intended to replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Users should always consult with a qualified health provider for any medical concerns and should not rely solely on the information obtained through the app.
Objective Zero offers a valuable platform for connecting military service members and Veterans, providing peer support and access to resources. However, users should exercise caution and seek appropriate professional help when needed.
